Eligibility Requirements for Tisha Jaye’s Dance Company
Take the Stage with Confidence!
Tisha Jaye’s Dance Company at The EducateDancer Studio is designed for dedicated dancers ready to train, perform, and compete at an elite level. To be eligible, dancers must be at least 5 years old and demonstrate strong foundational skills, discipline, and a passion for growth.
Placement is determined through an annual audition process where dancers are evaluated on technique, stage presence, and potential.
Once accepted, company members commit to a structured training schedule, including weekly rehearsals, choreography sessions, and competition prep. Team members are expected to maintain a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to both personal and group development.
TJDC dancers represent Greensboro, NC, on local and national stages, showcasing the dedication, artistry, and teamwork that set our company apart.
Auditions for the 2026–2027 season have concluded. We look forward to welcoming new applicants at our next audition cycle.

Dancers ages 6-17 in Greensboro, NC, and surrounding areas are eligible to audition.
Placement is based on skill level, experience, and potential, with company levels ranging from Mini (ages 5-6) to Teens (ages 13-16) to ensure the right fit for each dancer.

Company members train multiple times a week, with technique training on Mondays & Thursdays.
Additional rehearsals for choreography and competition prep are biweekly. Members receive an annual rehearsal schedule at our teams Season Orientation. -
Dancers train in jazz, contemporary, lyrical, hip-hop and ballet with a mandatory skills strengthening and conditioning class. This well-rounded training helps develop versatility and stage presence.
Dancers can also train in additional classes offered at our studio.

Members are responsible for tuition ($325 per month), competition fees, costumes, and travel expenses. A detailed breakdown of costs is provided upon acceptance to ensure families are fully informed.
We also offer fundraising opportunities. -
Auditions include a combination of technique demonstrations, choreography retention, and performance evaluation. Dancers are assessed on their skill, adaptability, stage presence, and ability to work as part of a team.
Auditions for the 2026-2027 season is COMPLETE.

Company dancers represent Greensboro, NC, at regional and national competitions, as well as at local community events and showcases. These opportunities help dancers gain real-world stage experience while building confidence and professionalism.

Dancers are placed into levels based on their age and technical ability, determined by the Company Directors & Founder. Adjustments may be made to ensure each dancer is in the best position for growth and success.
